Education

• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Notes: 2 OR's
• 2-6 cases a day
• BLS
• CABG'S, Robotic CABG and Lung, Valves, Fem POP, Tavrs, Evar's, vascular cases are all common cases
• CV and all other service lines.
• Scrubbing is not required for RN's but definitely a plus
• There are charge nurses on day and evening shifts. Day charge may give lunches, Evening charge may have a room assignment also. Staffing dependent.
• We have PCA's who help clean rooms and run for blood etc.
• Epic and moving to Epic Gold EMR
• Shift is 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with weekday, weekend and possible holiday call responsibilities.
• The response time for call is 30 minutes.
• There are no floating requirements to other departments. There are responsibilities to circulate all service lines.
• Hospital scrubs provided.
