Location: Colorado Springs, CO

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating call requirements including one weekday per week and one weekend per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular procedures
Assist surgeons during open heart surgeries and endovascular procedures
Monitor patient vitals and administer medications
Scrub in to hold the heart and assist with closing
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain sterile field and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

Must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS certification (AHA)
ACLS certification preferred
Open heart and endovascular experience required
Experience with Epic EMR is a plus
Ability to scrub in for cardiac procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and surgical procedures
Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Basic computer skills including EMR systems
