Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend and rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate behavioral health nursing care to adult and adolescent patients
Conduct patient assessments and monitor for changes in behavior
Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Document patient progress in MEDITECH electronic health record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in behavioral health nursing
Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
Current BLS certification from AHA
Experience with electronic health record documentation (MEDITECH preferred)
Ability to perform manual blood pressure, glucometer, and EKG

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in manual blood pressure measurement
Competent with glucometer and EKG
Skilled in verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention
Knowledge of milieu management and patient safety
Experience with group therapy and patient education
