Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on the medical/surgical unit
• Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Provide direct care for patients from admission to discharge including discharge planning
• Manage common IV medications such as Heparin, Diltiazem, and Amiodarone

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Progressive Care or Step Down
• Current Montana RN Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• EPNC and TNCC certifications preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic office equipment and multiple IV pump management
• Ability to operate advanced medical equipment and invasive lines
• Skilled in cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Knowledge of medication management for common IV drips
