Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans for patients on the inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the rehab team
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safe movement techniques
• Float to the med-surg unit occasionally to support therapy coverage

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Oklahoma or ability to obtain upon acceptance
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PTA
• BLS certification required
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care is preferred
• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays during the contract

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of rehabilitation therapy techniques and modalities
• Strong clinical documentation and EHR skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
• Willingness to float between units as needed
