Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible start times before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM; no regular weekends, with occasional weekend make-up hours when a holiday falls on a weekday

Candidate Pay Rate: $61.60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs
• Develop individualized plans of care using clinical standards and evidence-based practice
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities and assistive-device interventions
• Provide wound care as part of the rehabilitation plan
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments based on clinical outcomes
• Counsel patients, families, caregivers and service providers regarding physical disorders and recovery goals
• Coordinate with supervisors and healthcare team members about progress, barriers and treatment plans
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and support effective transitions of care
• Document clinical services, treatment minutes and required patient information accurately in electronic records
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, rehabilitation meetings and required trainings
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides and students
• Practice according to APTA standards, state practice acts, professional ethics and codes of conduct

Qualifications

• Bring at least 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Have long-term care or rehabilitation experience
• Hold an active Missouri state license
• New graduates are welcome with Level II experience beyond Level I observation experience
• Follow APTA and Missouri practice requirements for professional practice
