Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate and treat patients to help them regain strength and independence
• Build and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
• Document services accurately and on time so every patient story is complete
• Supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs in line with practice acts and facility standards
• Partner with interdisciplinary care teams and families to wrap support around each patient
• Keep safety, infection control and regulatory standards front and center every day

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT or BSPT)
• Active state PT license, or the ability to obtain one
• Strong communication, documentation and clinical skills
• Flexibility and a positive attitude when adapting to varying facilities, schedules and patient needs
• Compassion for patients working hard to restore function and mobility

• Physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
• Patient evaluation and clinical assessment
• Treatment plan development and progression
• Clinical documentation and timely charting
• Supervision and mentoring of PTAs and Rehab Techs
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and family communication
