Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility and function
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, and coordination
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with the therapy team
Operate and maintain therapy equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment
Adapt treatments to meet individual patient needs and goals

Qualifications

Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active PTA license in the state of Georgia (or compact eligibility)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a PTA
Current BLS/CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities
Understanding of patient safety and infection control practices
Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
