Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities
- Monitor and document patient progress toward rehabilitation goals
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to support patient care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
- Help patients regain mobility, strength, and independence in a skilled nursing setting
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Ohio
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- New grads are welcome to apply
- Compassionate and patient-focused mindset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work day shifts in a skilled nursing setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
- Understanding of skilled nursing facility care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Patience and empathy for patients and families
