Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Varied 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday; occasional weekend shifts required.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments to acute care patients including those in ICU, med-surg, ortho, oncology, and cardiology.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Manage a caseload of patients with diverse diagnoses, including total joint replacements, post-surgical, and ventilated patients.
Document patient progress in Cerner EMR.
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapy license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Experience with ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patients required
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of acute care physical therapy protocols
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to varying patient populations and units
