Pharmacy Technician

Location: Durango, CO

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variety of 10-hour shifts, including 07:00 AM - 5:30 PM (M-F), 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM (Mon-Fri), and 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Sat/Sun/HS), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver Pyxis medications
  • Manage Pyxis outdates and inventory
  • Conduct monthly outdate processes
  • Perform crash cart checks and refills
  • Provide phone triage support
  • Respond to Med Messages
  • Prepare sterile compounds

Qualifications

  • Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
  • Colorado Technician License
  • Experience with sterile compounding and hospital pharmacy operations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Pharmacy Technician training program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Sterile Compounding
  • Pyxis deliveries
  • Pyxis outdates
  • Pyxis inventory management
  • Crash cart management
  • Phone triage
  • Medication dispensing systems (Epic, Pyxis)
