Education

• Common diagnosis / Types of patients Pancreatic Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma, some general medical oncology
• Patient Load "This is NOT an infusion position
• it is a clinic RN position
• max 3 chemo teaches per day
• approximately 20-30 patient encounters per day
• *appointments with RNs are not scheduled
• the majority of the work is phone calls and My Chart messages

• Job Duties: "The responsibilities of the RN Care Manager includes:
• Phone triage and nursing assessment
• Chemotherapy education (virtual and in-person)
• Educating patients about treatment plans and disease processes
• Communicating with providers and teammates about patient care needs
• Care coordination of complex patients
• Rx refills "
• Experience or 'Must have' skills Outpatient oncology experience, strong triage/assessment skills, Proficient in Epic
• Are RN's required to titrate drips NO
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips N/A
