Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using skilled occupational therapy assessments to identify functional needs and goals
• Develop individualized intervention plans that restore independence in activities of daily living
• Implement therapeutic interventions that address motor skills, cognition, and adaptive strategies
• Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs, and physicians to create coordinated, patient-centered plans
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies
• Contribute to discharge planning and transitions to ensure safe, sustainable outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Washington state or ability to obtain prior to start
• NBCOT certification preferred or active credentialing where applicable
• Valid BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience treating adult patients in inpatient rehab, post-acute, or similar settings preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort working a travel contract and adapting quickly to new team environments

Education

• Entry-level Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (MOT/OTD) or equivalent clinical degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and intervention planning
• Strong therapeutic activity selection and adaptive equipment knowledge
• Proficient documentation and outcome measurement in EMR systems
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Ability to provide patient and family education with empathy and clarity
• Time management and caseload prioritization in a fast-paced setting
