Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to acute care patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately in EPIC
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
• Participate in weekend rotation to ensure continuous patient care

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
• Alaska state fingerprint and background clearance (or provisional status) required to start
• Independent and adaptable personality to thrive in rotating schedule
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Acute care rehabilitation
• EPIC electronic medical records
• Patient assessment and treatment planning
• Effective communication with patients and healthcare teams
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
