• How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 1 at each 4 locations ( East and West
• Campus and two outpatient centers located on each campus)
• Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Inpatient and outpatient. Will not float
• between campuses. Outpatient clinic is a separate building on the specified campus. 1 on each
• campus.
• Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: west- stealth brains, implants.
• Need experience screening neuro stimulators, pacemakers. Both campuses do extremities,
• abdomens, mrcp.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years. IV experience required.
• Average # of scans/studies per day: Approx 10-12 scans per day.
• What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they
• use?: Phillips 1.5 scanners. Post processing is completed on the scanner
• Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Phillips 1.5 scanners.
• Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech?: Yes
• Do they use RA's (Radiology Assistants)?: RA use for transport
• Radiologist in-house 24/7?: No- In house from 7 am -10 pm. Radiologist on call. After hours
• service used.
• Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department): Yes
• "Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
• Would they ever be the only tech in-house within their department?*": 0630 to 5 pm. They
• have set shifts M-T-W and TH-Fri- Sat. Will alternate.
• Weekend Requirements: Will work per rotation listed above.
• Holiday Requirements: Typically no holidays.
• Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: No
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: Any color of professional scrubs. Will be going
• to a specific color in October.
• Department specific orientation: 1 week wtih someone and then will have shifts with another
• tech for questions. Then will work more independently.
