Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered respiratory assessments and implement appropriate therapies
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway equipment with attention to safety
• Deliver inhaled therapies, oxygen therapy, airway clearance and suctioning
• Monitor patient response and adjust therapy in collaboration with the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with unit protocols
• Participate in competency exams, skills checklists and specialty assessments

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (required)
• Available and willing to work night shifts and alternating weekends
• Completion of required competency testing: Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, Prime Specialty Exam
• Up-to-date required health documentation: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB testing (PPD/Chest X-Ray as applicable), Varicella, Tdap, and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
• Physical/Health Statement as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong respiratory assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Knowledge of ventilator management and airway support
• Infection control practices and safe handling of respiratory equipment
• Clear documentation and electronic charting habits
• Good communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to perform under pressure during respiratory emergencies
