Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and promptly
• Perform routine assessments, monitor patient status, and report changes to the care team
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and bedside procedures as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and a respectful environment for patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico license preferred or eligibility to practice locally
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Comfortable working a night shift schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
• Reliable, patient-focused, and detail-oriented clinical practice

Education

• LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight care
• Wound care basics and routine nursing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Effective patient and family communication
