Education

• Experience or 'Must have' skills: "Must have 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years
• Must be comfortable caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and post-partum
• Must have triage experience
• Must be comfortable circulating and recovering C-Sections
• Prefer prior travel experience"
• Are RNs required to titrate drips?
• Pitocin, Mag
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): "7-7, Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling.
• All time off requests need to be submitted prior to starting assignment"
• Weekend Requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule
• Holiday Requirements May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation
• Is there a call or standby requirement?: Rare, for low census
• Floating Requirements?: None
• If an extreme need - could float within Zone 3: OCH, LUH, SAH, SAN
• Scrub Color/Dress code: Provided- Blue Hospital Scrubs
• Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-3 Shifts with Preceptor
• Additional Notes: At times the unit will take overflow mastectomy patients (travelers would recieve orientation to these patients). Typically just an overnight stay and then go home the next day.
