Education

• Specific Job Duties Related to this role?: Responsible for the HR functions of the areas oversee and will need to perform phlebotomy in all areas of the hospital. Will not be doing any other lab testing.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 5-10 years' experience as a supervisor or manager in any lab setting. Provide Phlebotomy duties 25% of time- and potentially off-hours depending on department need.
• What areas will they be overseeing? Responsible for point of care in the hospital/clinic settings and the phlebotomy team
• Number of employees supervised: 18 FTE that is made up of about 30 staff members
• Is there a supervisor or lead on each shift? Lead Phlebotomist
• Do you staff lab assistants?: Yes
• LIS System (ie. Polytech, Avalon, Orchard Software, Apollo, Prolis, Bio Tracer, etc.): Soft Lab and Path Lab
• EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area?: EPIC
• Shifts & Scheduling: Mon-Fri 0800-1630 and as needed after hours and weekends to assist with phlebotomy
• Weekend Requirements: As needed
• Holiday Requirements : None
• Is there a call or standby requirement?: None
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Business casual, no scrub color requirement if they do to wear scrubs
• How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 weeks
• Top 3 Goals/Objectives for this leader: Help with the transition of the LIS and Epic build during the transition to a new health system. Assist phlebotomy lead with all the HR issues, training, and direct patient care and Provide oversight and guidance to the point of care area
