IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Los Angeles, California

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Days, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (typically Monday-Friday). On-call required 1-2 weekends per month with 30-minute response time.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $78 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures under the direction of a physician
Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment with precision
Assist physicians during interventional cases, including catheter placements and biopsies
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Document procedures accurately in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Active California Radiologic Technologist license
ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI)
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Fluoroscopy permit
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Ability to take call and respond within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in interventional radiology techniques and equipment
Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
Knowledge of sterile technique and radiation safety
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
