Education

• Required Duties typically shift starts at 0630 for 0700 starts. On Call requirements for weekday/weekend rotation. Procedural knowledge of all GI related cases.
• Common Cases Colonoscopy, EGD, esphogeal dilation, ERCP, EUS, food bolus, GI bleed
• Experience or 'Must have' skills Working knowledge of all GI related procedures
• Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Are there techs or nurse aids in this department yes
• RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, Bi Pap, etc) NA
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 6 week working schedule, requests for time off handled by charge nurse
• requests to be made two weeks prior to schedule being posted.
