Dental Assistant - Periodontics
Location: Abingdon, Maryland

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Various shifts, 10:45 AM - 8:00 PM as needed
Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during periodontal procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and process dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-op care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent
- Current CPR certification required
- Experience in periodontics or surgical assisting preferred
- X-ray certification in Maryland
- Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with dental software and digital x-rays
- Team player with a positive attitude
