CVOR Surgeon
Location: Salem, Virginia
Start Date: 09-14-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Day Shift) with weekend and holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead complex cardiac procedures such as CABG and valve replacements
- Collaborate with a dedicated OR team to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio for optimal outcomes
- Scrub and assist in thoracotomy and endovascular AAA surgeries
- Provide mentorship to junior staff and support continuous learning
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
- ACLS and BLS certification
- Scrubbing experience in the operating room
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-starter with a flexible mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiovascular operative procedures
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
- Basic life support (BLS)
- Scrubbing techniques
- Patient monitoring and safety protocols
- EMR proficiency with Meditech
