Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative care as a CVOR RN in a 12-suite OR with 2 dedicated CVOR suites, managing complex cardiac and vascular surgeries
• Collaborate with surgical teams during CABG, valve replacement, thoracic, and vascular procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, providing focused, compassionate care throughout the perioperative continuum
• Float to the Main OR as needed, demonstrating versatility and teamwork across surgical specialties
• Participate in on-call rotation, including every other weekend and holidays, to ensure 24/7 surgical coverage
• Use Meditech EMR to document accurate intraoperative records and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact accepted)
• 5+ years of CVOR experience required
• Main OR experience with willingness to float to Main OR
• Experience scrubbing is preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications as required
• Level II Trauma Center experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and perioperative nursing
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center
• Team-focused communication and collaboration
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Time management and flexibility for call shifts
