Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor and document resident condition and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe, clean, and comfortable living environments for residents
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe use of assistive devices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Follow care plans and participate in team huddles to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification valid in Maine
• CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered, respectful care
• Comfortable working a 12.5-hour day shift and handling physical aspects of care
• Local candidate (LOCAL ONLY) with reliable transportation
• Previous long-term care or nursing assistant experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care best practices and infection control
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
• Basic mobility and safe patient handling techniques
