Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for adult and geriatric patients, focusing on critical care needs
• Perform nutrition-focused physical exams to identify and address malnutrition risk
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans, including enteral nutrition management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, and diabetes educators to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on dietary modifications and nutrition support
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR system (Meditech)

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of Texas required
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical dietitian experience
• Critical care experience strongly preferred
• NICU experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nutrition-focused physical exams
• Expertise in enteral nutrition management
• Skilled in managing critical care and high-acuity patients
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric populations
• Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Meditech
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
