• Hospital: Mission Hospital Location: Asheville, North Carolina Address: 509 Biltmore Ave, Asheville NC, 28801 Unit Name: CVOR Building: Heart Tower Cost Center:70312 General Information Unit Specifics: · Scrub Color(s): Hospital will provide scrubs · Number of Beds: 6 ORs · Patient Ratios: All cases require 1 scrub and 1 circulator. Pump cases also require a first assist/Heart Holder which can be an RN or CST · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 PCA, 1 Core Tech · Type of equipment: Stryker · Documentation system: Cerner · Scheduling requirements: On-call shifts will be assigned, rotated among staff · Floating policy: May float if needed, infrequent · Patient Experience requirements: Extensive relevant CVOR experience required Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: CST, BLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : Extensive expertise and experience in the Scrub Role in the procedures listed below. Advanced skills needed: First Assist experience and proficiency is preferred but not required. Procedures performed on unit: CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, Circulatory Arrest Certifications Required: CST, BLS Dress Code : (Required uniform) · Hospital will provide scrubs
• hospital surgical attire policy must be followed Unit Guidelines/Policies : Will be provided during orientation. Awards/Recognition: 3 -star rating with STS, excellent surgical outcomes. Not a training facility for medical staff
