Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients in developing and practicing functional activities to improve daily living skills
• Document patient progress and update therapy plans under the supervision of the OT
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and ready for use
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in West Virginia
• Associate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of OT assessment and intervention techniques
• Proficiency in documenting patient outcomes
• Understanding of safety and infection control protocols
• Ability to adapt activities to diverse patient needs
