Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions that follow the supervising OT plan of care and help patients rebuild independence
• Document patient progress accurately and on time so the care team always has the full picture
• Guide patients and their families through education that makes recovery feel achievable
• Communicate patient status clearly with the supervising OT to keep care coordinated
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to protect every patient and teammate
• Bring energy and encouragement to each session, celebrating every bit of functional progress

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active state COTA license, or the ability to obtain one
• Strong teamwork skills and a genuine passion for patient care
• Comfort providing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations along with facility guidelines
• A reliable, caring approach that patients and coworkers can count on
