Roles & Responsibilities
- Support patients through rehabilitation and recovery activities
- Provide direct occupational therapy assistance under the direction of an occupational therapist
- Promote patient well-being through meaningful therapeutic support
- Help patients build skills that support independence and daily functioning
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist to deliver thoughtful patient care
Qualifications
- Bring at least 2 years of COTA experience
- Hold an active Texas license or a compact license
- Be prepared to provide required licensure documentation during submission
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of occupational therapy support practices
- Skilled in providing direct patient assistance
- Understanding of rehabilitation and recovery principles
- Strong patient-centered communication skills
- Ability to follow treatment direction from an occupational therapist
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented approach
