Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to patients in an acute rehabilitation setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Take and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Help patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as part of their rehab plan
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and families
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Texas
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or hospital setting preferred
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Skilled in monitoring vital signs and observing patient conditions
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
