Education

• Common diagnoses/Types of patients Interventional cardiology, structural heart, peripheral vascular (EP and IR are separate, but nurses may float between departments)
• Job Duties Scrub and monitor
• Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have competence and prior experience in the Cath Lab
• EMR/Equipment Epic, Merge
• Cardiologist hours/on call Cases typically scheduled 7-5:30 with on call services 24/7
• Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? only one shift
• Cath Lab Techs
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) The supervisor makes the schedule
• Weeknight/Call Requirements Yes
• Weekend/Call Requirements Yes
• Holiday/Call Requirements Yes
• What is call response time? 30 minutes
• Floating Requirements On occassion, there may be a need to float to other procedural areas based upon census
• Scrub Color/Dress Code Scrubs provided
