Location: Carmichael, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Variable day shifts with on-call responsibilities; average 12 call days per month including one weekend (Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM); 30-minute response time; orientation of 1-2 shifts based on skill level.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $97 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac catheterization and peripheral interventions with expert scrub technique
Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures for PCI and STEMI cases
Prepare and maintain sterile field, ensuring patient safety and equipment readiness
Document procedures accurately in Cerner EMR system
Respond to on-call emergencies within 30 minutes, providing critical care support
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow

Qualifications

Must hold RCIS certification and current BLS
Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
Proven scrub experience for cardiac and peripheral cases including PCI/STEMI
No radiology license needed - focus on cardiovascular specialty
Strong understanding of sterile technique and invasive cardiovascular procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac catheterization and peripheral interventions
Proficient with Cerner EMR and cath lab equipment
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to handle on-call demands and rotating schedules
