Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit
• Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, A-lines, multiple IVs, and ventilators
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Provide direct care for patients from admission to discharge, including discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current State of Montana RN Licensure required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Recent Critical Care experience required
• Open heart recovery experience required
• Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures
• Use of multiple IV pumps and advanced medical equipment
• A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes
• Noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support
• Basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred
