Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and families
- Perform thorough assessments, develop nursing plans, and document care in the EHR
- Administer medications and treatments safely and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient condition
- Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license eligible)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred depending on unit
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience preferred (new grads may be considered in some units)
- Current immunizations and ability to complete facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable using electronic health records and standard hospital equipment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with medication administration, IV therapy, and charting
- Ability to educate patients and families with empathy and clarity
