Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert operating room nursing care for a high-volume Main OR serving a wide range of specialties
• Support complex surgical cases including total joints, spine, transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT and plastics
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia and perioperative teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Respond to Rapid Response activations and contribute critical nursing expertise when minutes matter
• Maintain sterile technique, proper patient positioning and instrument handling to support excellent surgical outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate handoffs effectively to the care team
• Contribute to unit teamwork and a positive culture that helps patients and staff succeed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• Experience in Rapid Response or acute care nursing
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR (listed as core skill)
• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred
• Relevant certifications preferred (unit will consider certified clinicians first)

• Operating Room (OR) nursing practices and perioperative workflows
• Rapid Response procedures and acute patient stabilization
• Meditech EMR documentation and charting
• Comfort with a variety of surgical specialties: total joints, spine, transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, plastics
• Strong teamwork, communication and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
