Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and build a community-based vascular surgery program in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
• Provide advanced vascular surgical care, performing both open and endovascular procedures for aneurysmal disease, carotid disease, hemodialysis access, peripheral vascular disease, and limb salvage
• Manage vascular disease non-surgically through medical therapy, lifestyle modification, and alternative interventions
• Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers involved in vascular care delivery
• Collaborate closely with cardiology, interventional radiology, and other specialties to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Participate in program development activities, including recruitment and planning for a hybrid operating room transition
• Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment options, prevention, and wellness
• Serve as a preceptor and instructor for medical students, residents, fellows, nursing staff, and allied health professionals

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) required
• Board certified or board eligible in vascular surgery, or equivalent vascular surgery certification
• Completion of vascular surgery training with experience in open and endovascular procedures
• Valid or eligible for Ohio medical license
• Experience supervising advanced practice providers and working in multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
• Interest in program development, leadership, and academic collaboration

Education

• MD or DO (or equivalent)
• Completion of vascular surgery residency/fellowship
• Board certification or board eligibility in vascular surgery

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in vascular surgery, including abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repair
• Proficiency in carotid disease management, hemodialysis access, and limb salvage techniques
• Skilled in both open vascular surgery and endovascular procedures
• Comfort managing medical therapy and non-surgical vascular interventions
• Experience with clinic practice, surgical/procedural care, and shared call coverage
• Ability to teach and precept trainees and to collaborate across specialties
