Surgical Tech - CVOR

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling and block scheduling, 40 hours/week. Shift times: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM. On-call: one weekday per month and one weekend (Fri-Sun) per month. Call response time 30 minutes.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile field during CVOR procedures
Assist surgeons with open heart, endovascular, and general surgeries
Manage surgical instruments and equipment to ensure availability and sterility
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and aseptic techniques
Collaborate with the OR team to provide optimal patient care and outcomes

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Colorado DORA registration required
Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience preferred
Experience in open heart and endovascular procedures is a must

Education

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic principles
Familiarity with cardiovascular and endovascular surgical instruments
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to take call shifts and float to general OR when needed
