Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU/Step-Down unit
Complete admission assessments and medication reconciliation for patients admitted from the ED
Initiate and manage acute care orders to enhance throughput and reduce length of stay
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
Float to other units within your skill set as needed
Utilize Cerner documentation system for accurate patient records

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) experience
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turnover environment
Willingness to consider Charge Nurse role

Knowledge & Skills

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
Proficient with Cerner documentation
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
