Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekend and holiday rotation required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population in ICU float pool assignments across multiple facilities
Manage ventilators, titrate critical drips (pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, etc.)
Interpret telemetry strips and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Float between ICUs (MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU) and occasionally to PCU/Stepdown or Med-Surg Tele as needed
Maintain a 1:1-2 patient ratio, flexing to 1:3 when necessary, with 1:1 for high acuity patients on CRRT, IABP, Impella

Qualifications

2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years if first-time traveler, plus Epic experience)
Active and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Travel nursing experience preferred
Willingness to float within a 60-mile zone covering multiple hospitals
Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Ventilator management (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
Critical drip titration and management
Epic electronic health record proficiency
Strong adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
