Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and manage advanced ventilator support for patients on the Respiratory unit
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and specialty devices such as Servo I, GE ventilators and V60
• Assess patients' respiratory status, develop treatment plans and initiate appropriate therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, and noninvasive respiratory support including Airvo and Vapotherm
• Document care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and communicate changes in patient condition promptly

Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• NRP or STABLE required (candidates without these will not be considered)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support modalities
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• ICU experience and comfort with high-acuity patients preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, GE ventilators, V60
• Familiarity with high-flow systems such as Airvo and Vapotherm
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient advocacy
