Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio
Start Date: 06-15-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM, every 3rd weekend required
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver basic and advanced respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized therapy plans
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use
- Evaluate therapy effectiveness and adjust care plans in collaboration with physicians
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Active Ohio or compact state license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications through AHA
- Completion of registry exam within one year of graduation
- Skills checklist completed within the last year
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Knowledge & Skills
- Blood Gas and Co-Oximetry Analyzers
- Ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP Machines
- Apnea, Saturation, Hemocue, ECG, and End Tidal CO2 Monitors
- Patient assessment and medication administration
- Aerosol therapy, airway management, and airway clearance techniques
- Chest physiotherapy and oxygen therapy delivery
- Auscultation of breath sounds
