Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units
Continuously monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, titrate heparin drips, and manage complex patient needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Float across multiple facilities within Zone 4, adapting quickly to new environments
Act as a resource and advocate for patients and their families throughout their stay

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience within the last 3 years
Active and unrestricted RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Previous neuro experience and familiarity with Alaris pumps and EPIC are preferred
Ability to float across a 60-mile radius zone covering multiple facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Competence in using Alaris IV pumps
Skills in caring for cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, and post-surgical patients
Strong communication and adaptability for float assignments
