Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a combined PCU/Med Surg unit
Monitor patients on ventilators and perform hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Administer chemotherapy and manage IV pumps (Alaris)
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other med/surg and PCU units as needed, ensuring same level of care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, oncology, or med/surg
First-time travelers welcome!
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Must pass an open-book orientation exam with 90% (resources provided)
Valid driver's license required for radius verification
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in PCU, oncology, and med/surg nursing
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Comfortable with chemotherapy administration
Skilled in using EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
Knowledge of heparin, cardizem, and protonix drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude
