Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend required, holidays 3 of 6 major

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, compassionate care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators, IV lines, medications, and advanced life support
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and a multidisciplinary team for optimal outcomes
Educate and support families through their NICU journey
Perform sterile procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (SIMs lab day 1)
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed, caring for infants only
Maintain a safe, sterile environment and respond quickly to changes in patient status

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Current BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE preferred
Previous travel experience preferred
Must pass SIMs lab on day 1 — strong sterile field technique is a must
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend, and 3 of 6 major holidays
Comfortable floating to mother-baby and labor care for infant patients

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Expertise in neonatal resuscitation and high-risk infant care
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and teamwork across disciplines
Experience with Phillips telemetry systems
Adaptable to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
