Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill newborns in our Level III NICU
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized neonatal equipment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and execute individualized care plans
- Support and educate families during their baby's hospital journey
- Respond to rapid response situations with skill and confidence
- Document patient progress and communicate changes to the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state eligible
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent NICU experience strongly preferred
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Comfortable with high-acuity neonatal care and rapid response
- Willingness to travel and adapt to new environments
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Ability to handle fast-paced, emotionally challenging situations with empathy
