Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality critical care to adult and pediatric patients (15+) in a 34-bed Med Surg ICU
Manage ventilators, titrate vasopressors and sedatives, and monitor telemetry strips
Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, and residents to deliver comprehensive care
Respond to rapid response and codes as part of the charge nurse team
Float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU as needed
Participate in orientation and pass open-book skills exam with 90%+

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required for radius verification
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care: vasopressors, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, and sedation
Proficient in ventilator management, CRRT, and cardiac monitoring
Strong critical thinking and ability to read and interpret telemetry
Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to mentor students
