Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 shifts per week including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population in both ICU and PCU settings
Titrate vasoactive drips including Levophed, Propofol, Heparin, and more
Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and respiratory therapists
Float between ICU and stepdown units as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Texas
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience
Experience with titrating multiple vasoactive drips
Ability to float between ICU and PCU units

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and BiPAP/CPAP
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
Vasoactive drug administration and titration
Team collaboration and communication
Time management in a fast-paced environment
