Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to adult patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory distress
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, sedation, and manage vasoactive medications
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including RT, nursing aides, and healthcare support techs
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in self-scheduling and ensure coverage for weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Must pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Valid driver's license to verify residency (50-mile radius rule)
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating drips and managing ventilators
Experience with GE telemetry monitors and strip interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
