Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, and post-surgical cases
Titrate critical drips such as cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation with precision
Manage ventilator patients from nasal cannula to full vent support
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
NIHSS certification required
At least 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for verification of residency (50-mile radius rule applies)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing, including ventilator management and drip titration
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for complex patients
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
Excellent communication and documentation skills
